Rail Policy Working Group

Member Only

techUK's Rail Policy Working Group (RP-WG) brings together businesses from across the techUK membership to guide techUK's work on the rail sector. It aims to lead the conversation on rail technology and to be the authoritative voice of the UK rail tech industry. It also works to build political and public understanding of what technology can do for the UK's transport system and the wider economy. Members help make sure the UK's regulatory and legislative landscape is fit for purpose for rail technology, and they get a steady flow of information and opportunities from across the sector.

Two co-Chairs lead the group, each serving an annual term, and techUK staff provide support and coordination. The group meets at least quarterly, and often more frequently. Between meetings, members receive regular written updates and requests for input by email. Any techUK member company can join. The group works best when members are actively engaged and share their insight, so it's a great fit for organisations that want to help shape rail policy and have a real say in the sector's future.
