NHS England core services supplier engagement series: 26/27 priorities and deliverables

About this event

Delivering the NHS 10 Year Plan and achieving the required 2% productivity gains depends on the effective adoption of national capabilities, and on NHS England, systems and suppliers working together in a more systematic, insight driven way to scale safely across the NHS. Core Services, part of the Product and Platforms directorate within NHS England, is launching a new Supplier Engagement Series to establish systematic, outcome focused engagement that drives actionable feedback and adoption.

Key takeaways

  • Share Core Services’ mission, priorities and outcome based objectives for 2026/27, focused on enabling fast, safe and secure patient data sharing across the NHS

  • Set out and test high level roadmaps and key deliverables, highlighting where supplier delivery and influence is critical

  • Reflect on what has and hasn’t worked in recent engagement and provide feedback on how to improve this

  • Launch the Core Services Supplier Engagement Series and invite input on its format, focus and effectiveness

Who should attend

This event is for digital technology suppliers to the NHS and social care, particularly those in strategic, technical or delivery roles who:

  • Integrate with, build on, or plan to adopt Core Services products and APIs

  • Want early visibility of priorities, roadmaps and upcoming changes

  • Are keen to influence delivery, reduce adoption friction and improve outcomes together

Please note, suppliers who integrate with, build on, or plan to adopt Core Services products and APIs are likely to find this event of most value. As the series progresses, sessions will become increasingly focused and targeted.

Event overview

Working with techUK, NHS England invites digital technology suppliers to join the kick off session on 20 May.

The session will focus on enabling effective collaboration between NHS England, systems and suppliers, supporting the delivery of safe, scalable national services across the NHS.

The Core Services Supplier Engagement Series is designed to establish systematic, outcome focused engagement that drives actionable feedback and adoption, enabling all participants to work together in a more structured and insight driven way.

This session will also invite input on how to shape the series going forward, including its format, focus and how suppliers can stay involved through future events, the Developer Community and targeted engagement.

We look forward to working with you to build a more open, outcome focused and effective partnership approach through the Core Services Supplier Engagement Series.
