About this event
On Tuesday 17 March, 14:00 – 15:30, techUK will be holding a webinar with IASME and the Ministry of Defence (MOD) for an industry engagement event on the Defence Cyber Certification (DCC) framework.
The scheme, which was launched last year is designed to enhance the cyber resilience of the UK’s defence supply chain and introduces a comprehensive cyber security framework for defence suppliers, strengthening the security, resilience, and future prosperity of the UK.
techUK previously held an event looking at how industry navigate DCC last year, however given member interest in getting more clarity on the framework we will be holding another session looking to demystify it.
It is structured into four levels of certification, each corresponding to a specific degree of cyber risk associated with a supplier’s role in the MOD supply chain. The required certification level for a supplier organisation is determined by the MOD and specified in the contract for each procurement or project. Importantly, the DCC certification emphasises the overall security and resilience of the organisation.
This event will give a detailed overview of each certification level and the steps businesses can take to become certified. The event will also look at the recently announced Cyber Security Model 4.
