GPA Shared Network (Enterprise LAN) market engagement event
The GPA is seeking industry input ahead of procuring a shared enterprise LAN to serve over 500,000 civil servants across strategic government sites by 2030.

About this event
On Monday 7 September from 9:00 – 12:00, we are delighted to be hosting the Government Property Agency (GPA) for an in person market engagement event.
Overview
The Government Property Agency (GPA) is inviting industry partners to a pre-procurement market engagement on Local Area Network. This is part of GPA's vision to work collaboratively to deliver a smarter, better, greener government office estate, stimulating economic growth across the UK, and bringing civil servants closer to the communities they serve.
This procurement will support a modern, mobile Civil Service, serving over 500,000 users across GPA strategic sites by 2030. Attendees will gain insights into planned requirements and have the opportunity to help shape the technical and commercial approach.
Key takeaways
Gain insight into the Government Property Agency's (GPA) single estate vision across sites for over 500,000 users by 2030
Understand emerging technical requirements and the proposed commercial framework
Contribute to shaping a vendor-agnostic, high-performance network, prioritising interoperability, cloud alignment, and early commercial engagement
Engage with GPA on future connectivity priorities for solutions across enterprise Wi-Fi, LAN and access control must utilise open standards, vendor-agnostic and flexible architectures to allow civil servants authenticate and work seamlessly across GPA shared hubs without siloed restrictions
Procurement framework requirements
This procurement will provide a framework to systems that:
Adhere to strict UK government security policies, standards, network traffic segmentation and Zero Trust principles to ensure data privacy in multi-tenant environments. Achieving scale across these strategic shared hubs requires network automation and modern observability capabilities.
Ensure rapid onboarding through zero-touch provisioning and automated tools to eliminate manual/human errors, complemented by self-healing routines that autonomously resolve bandwidth bottlenecks and link failures.
To manage these multi-vendor environments effectively, end-to-end telemetry and continuous performance analytics is required. This ensures real-time observability that measures actual user experiences across Wi-Fi, LAN, ISP, and cloud access points.
Who should attend
Participating in this engagement provides suppliers a vital opportunity to shape the technical scope, commercial frameworks, and delivery models before the official tender's launch.
