Misuse of Deepfake material can pose significant threats – from disinformation and financial threat to policing risks and harm at scale. The UK Home Office, Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, The Alan Turing Institute and Accelerated Capability Environment (ACE) are excited to launch the next phase of the Deepfake Detection Challenge.
The UK Home Office Deepfake Detection Challenge 2026 brings together experts from across government, academia and industry to tackle these threats.
The event will be hosted in January 2026 and successful participants will be contacted directly by the Home Office.
