This is the first session of a series at techUK on Pride in Innovation where we gather every three months to talk about the importance of authentic representation in reshaping the future of innovation. The first session is on Pride in Innovation and is co-delivered with community organisation RepresentAI.

We will hear from RepresentAI founder Sarah Rench, followed by a panel conversation.

The panel brings together LGBTQAI+ innovators, allies, and changemakers to explore how authentic representation is reshaping the future of innovation. We examine what it means to build technology that reflects the full spectrum of human identity. This includes discussion on:

  • Inclusive & secure by design — Building AI systems that centre diverse identities from the ground up and secure by design.
  • Responsible AI — Tackling bias and harm in models that affect marginalised communities.
  • Careers & visibility — Pathways for LGBTQAI+ professionals to thrive and lead in AI.
  • Community & allyship — How organisations and allies can amplify LGBTQAI+ voices in tech.
  • Calls to action & next steps — Practical commitments to carry the conversation forward.

We look forward to welcoming you for conversation and networking this Pride Month, and let this be the start of many conversations.
