AI assurance has arrived. Following a major shift in 2025, public authorities and industry around the world are embedding AI assurance into procurement, governance and risk frameworks. What was once an aspirational goal, translating AI ethics into measurable practices, is now an established professional discipline with real economic impact and is underpinned by practical standards like ISO/IEC 42001 on AI Management Systems.

This panel at the India AI Impact Summit will be co-hosted with BSI Group and will bring together leaders from certification bodies, industry and policy. The panel will examine what the adoption of AI assurance and standards could mean for India and the world of AI more broadly. Drawing on sector-specific insights from expert panelists as well as techUK's Sector Specific AI Assurance report, the discussion will highlight how assurance is being adopted across various sectors.

What You'll Explore

  • AI Assurance in Practice
Our panelists will showcase how organisations implement assurance frameworks and the business value they create. BSI will share global certification insights, while techUK will present findings on assurance maturity across sectors and global standards like ISO/IEC 42001.
  • India's Strategic Opportunity
Attendees will see how India and other countries can position themselves within the quality infrastructure ecosystem, and how international collaboration could strengthen global AI governance and responsible, inclusive AI adoption. Indian leaders will discuss leveraging India's advantages in IT services and building capabilities for domestic and international markets.
  • UK-India Collaboration Pathways
With the UK pioneering AI assurance and India scaling AI deployment, we'll explore knowledge transfer, joint standards development, skills partnerships, and market access to bridge the global AI divide.
