Funding Focus is a webinar series designed to help techUK SME members navigate the complex landscape of grants, tax reliefs and other sources of finance. Each session provides practical guidance, expert insights, and real-world examples to help your business access the funding and incentives available to support innovation and growth.

Join techUK and Innovate UK UKRI as we explore what Horizon Europe is and how UK organisations can take part in its 2026/27 Work Programme.

What is Horizon Europe?

Horizon Europe is the current EU €95 billion research and innovation Framework Programme for 2021 to 2027. The Programme funds scientific excellence, research and development in all areas of research and innovation, as well as key sectors and technologies, supporting international collaborations to address global challenges in areas such as net zero, energy, health, agriculture, digital technologies, space and transport.

Almost any type of organisation can participate, including businesses (small and large), academia, research organisations (public and private), charities, NGOs, public administrations (local, regional, national authorities), and more.

Why should you attend?

This online session will give attendees a deeper understanding of what Horizon Europe is, the rules and terms of engagement, and advice on how to participate.

It is purposefully designed to help those with no or low knowledge about Horizon Europe gain an understanding of the opportunities it offers, and the basics about how to explore these opportunities further for yourself.
