Video: Technology for an Inclusive World

The Royal Society’s Disability Technology policy report and its accompanying short film, Technology for an Inclusive World — produced by 104 Projects, released in June 2025 — together illustrate how data‑driven and digital assistive technologies can reduce the everyday barriers disabled people face across work, rest, play, and care.

The film captures the daily experiences of disabled people across the UK as they use assistive tools, highlighting both the benefits and challenges, while showcasing emerging opportunities for more inclusive innovation. Developed with interdisciplinary experts, including assistive technology users, the report sets out a vision for inclusive, sustainable digital assistive tech and smarter data to help build a more accessible society for all.

Shared with techUK, the film reinforces how technology can enable human rights by expanding accessibility, autonomy, and participation—and underscores the importance of ensuring future technological advancements are inclusive by design.
