Positioning, Navigation and Timing Committee: new Vice-Chair elected

techUK and UKspace are very pleased to announce that Simon Atkinson has been elected as the new Vice-Chair of the Positioning, Navigation and Timing Committee, following a recent election.
Simon is PNT lead, Survivability at Roke Manor Research Ltd, who prioritised the engagement, support and work with UK Government to ensure rapid completion and publication of the UK PNT Strategy. In his new role as Vice-Chair, Simon will support Chair Richard Bowden from GMV NSL to promote an understanding of the importance of and dependence upon PNT to UK Government and key industry stakeholders as well as promote and support the training and development of PNT interest, knowledge and skills.
The joint techUK / UKspace Positioning, Navigation and Timing Committee (PNTC) is a cross industry group that focuses on the technology, regulatory and policy issues related to the current and future global PNT roadmap. The group also leads on assessing the development and investment opportunities within the infrastructure domain and the exploration of emerging applications and services enabled by location-based technologies.
