Request Access

The techUK Life Sciences Working Group brings together technology companies, life sciences organisations, SMEs and system partners to support delivery of the UK Life Sciences Sector Plan. Acting as a delivery partner to Government and industry, the Group convenes across digital health, pharma, biotech and MedTech to provide practical solutions, share real‑world insight and accelerate innovation and adoption.

In 2026, the Group is focused on three member‑led priorities: supporting the establishment of the Health Data Research Service, contributing to efforts to cut clinical trial set‑up times to under 150 days, and enhancing the NIHR offer for biotech and MedTech SMEs. Through policy engagement, task‑and‑finish groups, evidence‑based outputs and close collaboration with Government and system leaders, the Working Group champions the role of data, AI and digital technology in strengthening the UK life sciences ecosystem.
