Help shape techUK's 2027 climate programme priorities
Join the techUK Climate, Environment and Sustainability team for a lunchtime session to help build our 2027 workplan. Tell us where member priorities and the government’s agenda meet, and where they don’t.

About this event
About this event
2026 has been a year of big change for climate, environment and energy policy. A new government is setting its direction, several major decisions are still open, and the expectations on the digital tech sector keep moving.
At the start of this year we published our 2026 workplan. It covered AI and climate, industrial decarbonisation, nature and the role of tech, and climate resilience, along with policy work on transition planning, responsible business conduct and the circular economy. Now we want your help deciding what comes next.
This short, interactive session is your chance to shape the programme’s 2027 priorities. We’ll look back briefly at what we’ve delivered and test which themes still matter. Then we’ll brainstorm where techUK can do the most to line up what members need with what government is trying to achieve. Your input will feed directly into a new 2027 workplan, which we’ll share with members for approval.
What will be covered?
A quick recap of the 2026 workplan: what worked and what’s changed
Your priorities for 2027: the policy, regulatory and market issues that matter most to your business
Government’s emerging agenda on climate, environment and energy, and where it does or doesn’t match industry priorities
How techUK should engage: the campaigns, outputs, events and working groups that would be most useful to you
Who should attend?
Sustainability, ESG and environment leads
Policy, government affairs, regulatory and legal colleagues
Energy and operations managers
Anyone who wants a say in techUK’s climate activity next year
