About this event
On Thursday 23 July, techUK is delighted to be hosting DSIT for a roundtable with UK cyber security organisations to better understand the concerns and potential impact that the EU's Tech Sovereignty Package may have on them.
Session overview
This will be a participatory session and members are encouraged to come prepared to discuss the following:
What do UK cyber companies want to have access to?
What are the EU cyber resilience initiatives that the UK is being excluded from?
Which parts of the
are of most concern, or you are likely to be most impacted by, and what would the resulting impact on the EU be?
How could the
text be changed/what needs to happen to avoid adversely impacting UK cyber companies / the provision of competitive cyber products and services in the EU, in your view?
Are there any events/forums/associations that companies engage with where this topic may raised?
What are the top 4–5 priorities the UK should seek to address?
Are there any specific examples or case studies illustrating UK exclusion, including existing or anticipated barriers, and the resulting impact on the EU?
Are there aspects of the EU’s Tech Sovereignty Package you see as positive, that we should seek to replicate in the UK?
