About this event
On Tuesday 15 September, techUK is delighted to be hosting a webinar exploring the latest developments in frontier AI capabilities and their potential impact on UK businesses and organisations.
Session overview
Recent analysis from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) AI Security Institute (AISI) found that models such as Mythos have substantially more capabilities in cyber offence than any model they have previously tested. Their latest report found that frontier model capabilities are doubling every four months, compared to every eight months previously.
This rapid development prompted government to issue an open letter to business leaders in April warning of the risks posed by AI-driven cyber-attacks and urging businesses to strengthen their resilience against increasingly capable threat actors. However, AI cyber capabilities have the potential to deliver game-changing improvements in defence.
techUK will bring together representatives from government to understand what these developments mean in practice for cyber security businesses, the wider tech ecosystem and UK businesses and organisations. Attendees will also hear more about recent announcements like the NCSC’s Cyber Shield.
techUK members will outline how AI cyber capability can be used defensively and share learnings from Project Glasswing.
