techUK is offering the chance for members and select non-members to join a techUK delegation to Tokyo, Japan for the CEATEC tech conference as well as meetings with the Japanese Government and Japanese tech companies. The delegation will take place between 13th - 16th October 2026.

Delegates are expected to arrive the day before 13th October and depart after at the end of the day on the 16th. 


CEATEC is one of Japan’s most coveted tech conferences. This year will have a clear focus on AI and semiconductors. The Conference is attended by nearly 100,000 visitors, with 810 exhibitors, all coming from 29+ countries.  

While CEATEC is a free conference, techUK delegates will secure exclusive access to the first day (13th October), which is invite-only, and will include a reception with VIPs, government dignitaries, ambassadors, and exhibitor executives.  

Alongside CEATEC, techUK will be aiming to hold meetings at a senior level with officials from:  

  • The Ministry of Information Communications (MIC) 
  • The Ministry of Energy, Trade, and Industry (METI) 
  • Digital Agency of Japan 
  • Tokyo Metropolitan Government  
  • The British Embassy in Tokyo  
  • Japanese Electronics and Information Technology Association (JEITA)  
  • Japanese Corporate Venture Capital Investors  
  • An Accelerator in Tokyo 
  • Other Government, Private Sector, and Third-Sector stakeholders as requested 

techUK will coordinate the official agenda, provide briefings and materials, and manage on-the-ground logistics throughout. 

This delegation is open to all techUK members & select non-members and is particularly suited for: 

  • C-level executives (CEOs, Founders, Managing Directors) 
  • Heads of policy, public affairs, or regulatory affairs 
  • Companies with an existing presence in the Japan or concrete plans to expand into the market 

Participation Fee: 

  • techUK members may register a delegate directly for £500. There must only be one person per company.  
  • Non-member companies should email [email protected] or [email protected] before booking a delegate for £750. Please note that non-members that do not make prior contact will not be included in the delegation. 

These contributions help cover the additional costs of running international delegations and supports techUK’s ability to deliver more overseas market access opportunities for members in future. Please note that the delegation fee does not include a ticket, flight to Japan, or accommodation
