techUK's Cloud Computing Programme, and Cyber Security Programme, are excited to be partnering this June to release techUK's first-ever Cloud Security Guide for Business Leaders: Increasing and scaling cloud use securely and safely in 2021, alongside this hour-long industry deep-dive.

We ae delighted to share industry expertise from:

  • Michelle Unterbrink, Customer Engineering Manager, Google Cloud
  • Nigel Hawthorn, Cloud Marketing Director, McAfee
  • John Godwin, Director of Compliance, UKCloud
  • Sue Daley, Director Tech & Innovation, techUK

With organisations’ use of cloud computing services expected to develop and mature during 2021 it is important that organisations’ increased use is done so in a safe and secure way. Business leaders will be asking how the investment made in different cloud  services, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, during 2020 can help them to move forward. Indeed, a recent report of business leaders found that 88% expected their adoption and use of cloud services to increase in 2021 with 33% of business leaders stating that their immediate priority for investment in technology in 2021 is to support the migration of business workloads to the cloud to increase the agility of their organisations.

To support this, techUK will be launching our latest Cloud Security Report: A guide for business leaders - Increasing and scaling cloud use securely and safely in 2021 on 17 June. In line with this launch, techUK’s Cloud and Cyber Security Programmes are putting together an event to highlight the key areas of cloud security that companies should look at.

The report highlights key areas to ask questions of your cloud security providers, and in this session, experts from across the industry will come together to discuss the steps you can improve your cloud security posture, and the innovations changing the cloud security landscape. With speakers from Google, UKCloud and McAfee techUK members will discuss the key outcomes of the report and how to securely adopt cloud in 2021.
