On 28 April, techUK is hosting an industry briefing with NHSX on the What Good Looks Like (WGLL) and Who Pays for What (WPfW) programmes, providing an opportunity to understand more about the ambitions of the initiatives and what they mean for industry and the market.

The WGLL framework aims to set out a common vision for good digital practice to empower frontline leaders to accelerate digital transformation in their organisations. Going forward, it will provide a comprehensive and practical set of tools, guidelines and best practices for NHS leaders to achieve meaningful digital transformation.

Meanwhile, Who Pays for What (WPfW) is the NHSX framework for sustainable digital investment. It shifts NHSX’s role to one of supporting investment, setting standards and delivering national products. It will enable Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) to know their funding allocation before the start of the financial year so they can decide how best to fund their tech investment, in line with WGLL.

During the session, members will have the opportunity to hear from and ask questions to the NHSX team - Sonia Patel, Chief Information Officer; Louis Bradshaw, Deputy Chief Information Officer; and Jocelyn Palmer, Assistant Director of Programmes.
