Join techUK on Tuesday 16 September, 10:00-12:00 for an in-person event exploring how we use AI assurance to support safer and responsible adoption AI, as well as a discussion on how AI itself is changing the cyber security sector.

This event will bring together leading technology companies, ai assurance firms, ai ethicists, cyber security experts and AI specialists to explore two main topics:

  • How AI can help make cyber security more safe and secure
  • How to keep AI systems and applications safe from cyber threats

AI is rapidly changing the technology landscape, offering innovative solutions and benefits to society. However, the accelerated adoption of AI applications also creates new risk that organisations must manage with AI assurance and standards. This event will look at what these risks are and how to reduce them through operationalising the UK's ethical principles, so AI can be used safely and effectively.

This session is particularly timely following the announcement that the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology's (DSIT) recently published AI Cyber Security Code of Practice was adopted by the European Telecommunications Standard Institute as the baseline steps that organisations in all countries should follow to secure their AI systems throughout their life cycle.
