On Tuesday 29 March from 14:00 - 15:30 we are delighted to be hosting the Crown Commercial Service for a supplier engagement event on their upcoming framework agreement, Network Services 3 (NS3). CCS would like to invite specialist suppliers of four key services to discuss the framework and how these services should be represented.

Background

This is a flagship agreement for the network services department of CCS and replaces NS2 that expires August 23 2022. To ensure CCS can learn from the NS2 supplier experience and reflect marketplace changes, they have planned significant engagement with the industry. Through recent market engagement activity, CCS has been able to form a supplier view in key areas of the new agreement such as the design of the lot structure, and this work has provided the basis of the agreement.

CCS is committed to innovation and want to ensure public sector customers have a full selection of products from leading innovators in the marketplace, that innovation is not constrained, and can explore how technology can benefit their organisations. In order to build on their recent market engagement activity - CCS plan to address the below four services in more detail and would like to invite specialist suppliers of these services to this supplier event to discuss the new Network Service 3 framework agreement, and help CCS understand how these services should be represented within NS3.

  • CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service)
  • Iot (Internet of Things) & Smart Cities
  • Secure Edge
  • Satellite Services

In order to achieve the ambition, NS3 needs to deliver these services in sufficient detail within the established lot structure to demonstrate the difference from other general services in the Lots, and from those suppliers with expertise in design and delivery. The challenge is to identify whether suppliers in these areas should be prime contractors or sub-contracted through larger suppliers. If a supplier is a prime contractor, then the method of qualification must also be established with appropriate questions to test capability.

If you are a supplier specialising in any of the above services and would like to come along to this virtual event, please make sure you register your place now.
