Webinar: Innovating Industrial Decarbonisation - technologies driving down GHG emissions
Kicking off our Innovating Industrial Decarbonisation series, we explored the pivotal role that technology plays in the decarbonisation of industrial sectors with industry perspectives into the technologies driving down GHG emissions.
We heard from a stellar lineup of presenters including: Kate Morrison, Government Affairs at Vodafone, Joanna Mainguy, Director of Sustainability at AVEVA and Lucy Thornton, Partner - Cloud Practice Lead - Sectors at KPMG.
Key take-home points included:
- 5G can drive create greater efficiency and productivity for manufacturing sectors, in turn, driving down emissions.
- AI and cloud have a key enabling role to play in understanding emissions across the supply chain and pinpointing areas of operational inefficiency.
- Innovation for industrial decarbonisation cannot happen in isolation. It requires systemic thinking and an ecosystem of collaboration to drive change. Digital and emerging technologies are key enablers to a connected industrial economy.
- By leveraging digital technologies, industrial sectors can enhance their operational efficiency, reduce resource consumption, and make significant strides toward achieving their decarbonisation goals.
