UK-Asia Pacific Digital Trade Week
techUK’s International Trade Programme will be holding its UK-Asia Digital Trade Week ahead of the UK-Asia Pacific Digital Trade event, taking place on 4 October. Between 4-8 October we will be bringing you views and insights on future digital trade relations between the UK and APAC countries. As part of the campaign week we will also be promoting members’ thought leadership pieces and blogs.
If you would like to contribute, we would require a blog piece of around 500 words, a blog title, and a 150-character description for the sub-title. The blogs will feature on the techUK website and will be promoted via Twitter and LinkedIn throughout the week.
Theme & Topics
The week will focus on the opportunities of developing world-leading standards for digital trade with countries across Asia Pacific, highlighting market access barriers to digital trade and exploring emerging tech export opportunities for UK tech businesses in the APAC region.
What will new digital trade partnerships the UK is seeking to forge in APAC bring to tech businesses? How to overcome potential challenges when scaling up tech business in the region? How to identify high-growth markets and build commercial networks? What should collaboration on emerging tech across both regions look like?
Please see below a range of topics to be discussed;
- The ways digital trade agreements support the UK’s tech industry
- The role of APAC in establishing the UK’s global role in digital trade
- Regulatory cooperation on emerging tech
