Common Sense Media

Most technology wasn't built or designed with children in mind. We are on a mission to change that.

Common Sense Media prepares children for the online world, and provides advice and tips for parents and carers, whilst working with policymakers and regulators to hold platforms accountable and safe for young people.

Children are at the heart of everything we do.

All that we do is backed up by research.

Our free education resources; whole school digital literacy curriculum, professional development courses and send-home resources, are used by 1.4 educators worldwide, 27K across the UK. We partner with the NSPCC, departments of education in the borough of Islington, Scotland and Wales. Our curriculum is available in Welsh.

Our media ratings are available for free on our website and app, and reach 4 million UK households in partnership with Sky Cinema.

Our advocacy team drives technology policy and platform accountability to protect children's safety, privacy and well-being online, and serve as a transatlantic bridge for youth digital advocacy. As a charity, we depend on the generosity of corporate partners, donors, trusts and foundations to ensure that families across the UK are equipped to thrive online.
