Like much of ICT, data centres are poorly understood by policy makers, commentators and the general public. That makes them vulnerable to ill-informed criticism. We have an excellent track record in setting the record straight on ICT in general and data centres in particular.
The techUK data centre group has over 400 members and is recognised by key decision makers as the collective voice of the UK data centre sector in matters relating to public policy, reputation, professionalism and energy efficiency. It is our ultimate objective to ensure that the UK continues to offer a business environment in which the sector can flourish. Our members include data centre operators, both colocation and enterprise providers, companies who manufacture the IT and communications hardware that occupy these facilities and others in the data centre supply chain - from cooling solution providers to investors.
Below is an overview of the activity undertaken by the techUK data centre group.
