Tom Henderson, Programme Manager for techUK’s Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Cities workstreams, sits down with some of the UK’s foremost cloud experts to discuss the future of the UK’s cloud computing ecosystem.
Up first, Tom explores the future of cloud adoption and deployment in the public sector with Mark Palmer, Head of Public Sector and Life Sciences at Google UK & Ireland. The conversation touches on cost factors, impact assessments and the investment case for cloud, the visualization and management of different cloud-based systems and guidance for cloud procurement in the public sector.
Following on from this discussion, Tom interviews Sian John MBE- EMEA and APJ Director for Cybersecurity Strategy at Microsoft- to learn more about the security dimensions of cloud. Sian provides insights on security threats and trust in cloud services, cyber awareness and security-related skills, as well as, secure cloud adoption strategies.
