UKRI call for techUK member input on new horizon scanning initiative

As part of UKRIs ongoing horizon scanning and emerging technologies work, EPSRC are crowdsourcing ideas from key stakeholders across UKRI as to the technologies that will be important to the UK in 2040 and beyond.

EPSRC would be grateful if you could fill in the survey here as well as forwarding it to other members within your organisation.

There are three questions, which EPSRC hope will not take you much time, up for consideration:

  1. What are the potentially MOST DISRUPTIVE areas of research emerging in your area of expertise?
  2. What emerging technologies/ innovations do you believe will be most important to UK society in 2040?
  3. Are there any other important, interesting areas of emerging research, technology or innovation that you think EPSRC should look into?

For further information, please contact Luke Davis, Head of Managing Our Portfolio and Priorities, EPSRC (, or Tom Henderson, Programme Manager for SmarterUK ( today!
