techUK is delighted to support the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)/Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Virtual Inbound Investment Mission to the US.

The U.S. Commercial Services at U.S. Embassy London is embarking on a virtual technology investment mission to the United States in January 2021. High-growth Commercial UAV, UAS and Drone companies with proven home market traction and plans to establish a U.S. presence in the next 12-24 months are invited to apply.

UAVs (or drones) have a wide range applications across industries and organizations, including military, government, industrial and recreational users. Advancements in the technology is driving popularity and affordability. Key factors driving growth are the growing adoption of UAVs in civil and commercial applications; increasing deployment in border patrolling and combating terrorism; and FAA regulations to permit use in several industries. Research show that estimated spending on drone technology in 2021 in the UK is set to reach $3.5bn. The potential for the UK UAV/UAS companies to scale and grow in the U.S. make this program timely.

The bespoke agenda is open to companies in the UK, Europe and Turkey who will benefit from an agenda tailored on the interests and expertise of the applicants. Companies will learn about the capabilities and opportunities of each U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Test Sites located in Central New York, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, and Virginia. They will understand how each economic region and ecosystem can support the expansion plans and ambitions of UK firms to grow in the U.S.

More information is available on the program website, including the application form.
