The MOD have launched an RFI on the details concerning the Project for Rapid Exploitation of Digital Applications.

The MOD have launched an RFI that invites interested vendors to read and provide feedback on the details shared in the below attachment concerning the Project for Rapid Exploitation of Digital Applications. PREDA sits within the Defence Agile Software area of the Application services DevOps Team, which is a branch of Defence Digital. Responding to the announcement is voluntary and does not start the official procurement process for a PREDA requirement.

The PREDA team is aware that there is a very large cloud native landscape and that there will be a large amount of interest in this proposal that will outline different solutions. This RFI is being used to engage potential vendors with the concept of PREDA and to aid the team in shaping the statements of work for any future competitive procurement that may follow.

Following a potential future competition, the Team intends to award a contract to a single vendor that will act as a service integrator to procure and deliver a comprehensive solution to build, test and update microservice applications on public cloud infrastructure and deploy, operate a monitor these microservices in a Crown Hosting environment that is limited bandwidth and restricted connectivity due to hosting SECRET information.

The full RFI can be found here on the DCO site, and can also be found in this word document attachment.
