Summary Care Record with Additional Information (SCR-AI) - Feedback

NHS Digital are collating feedback to build the case on whether to keep Summary Care Record with Additional Information (SCR-AI) switched on after September. The deadline for submitting feedback is today the 12th June.

As of today 36 % (24 million) of people have an SCR-AI with the aim to be nearer 98% of the population by the end of June. Prior to March only 5.5% population had an SCR-AI. This is currently enabled under Control of Patient Information (COPI) Regulations in relation to Covid-19 meaning there is a risk that SCR-AI will revert to 5.5% after September. It is important to note that people who have opted out of sharing have had their wishes respected and have not been included in the national switch on (1.3% of population).

Basic SCR:

  • Medications
  • Allergies/adverse events

SCR-AI includes:

  • significant medical history (past and present)
  • reason for medication
  • anticipatory care information (such as information about the management of long term conditions)
  • end of life care information (from the SCCI1580 national dataset)
  • immunisations.

The feedback form is here:

Alternatively, email Tamara direct if you would be happy to have a telephone interview.
