Welsh Government opens applications for COVID-19 funding competition

Innovators with digital solutions that can support the health service during the COVID-19 pandemic can now submit their applications for a new £150,000 funding competition from the Welsh Government.

According to the Digital Health Ecosystem Wales (DHEW), which is supporting the competition, the technologies must tackle one of the following areas:

  • Remote diagnosis and patient triage
  • Data collection and analysis optimisation
  • Hospital PPE inventory tracking, managing and reporting
  • Remote citizen support and treatment.

Applications close at 9am on Monday 8 June. The companies selected will receive up to £30,000 to test their solution during a 6-8-week period within NHS environments, and an evaluation looking at the scalability of their technologies across Wales will be carried out in September.

Supplier guidance and further information on how to apply can be found here.
