Would you be interested in getting involved and providing input to Edge Week kicking off 27 April?
On 27 April techUK will kick off its first ever Edge Computing week. This week will be part of a six month campaign of activities and events around Edge Computing focused on “Bringing business transformation to the Edge" as part of techUK’s Tech and Innovation work. While not new, Edge Computing is fast becoming seen as a key technology and an enabler of accelerating innovation in key industries, and accelerating adoption on complementing emerging technologies.
During the week we will be bringing you news, views and insights from the technology sector on what Edge means to the UK’s digital future and how UK organisations can realise the benefits and opportunities offered from a technology that is fast becoming seen as a key enabler of widescale innovation. We will be identifying, exploring and making the case for greater use of Edge computing solutions (across both public and private sector) as well as discuss potential challenges that may hold the UK’s back from moving to the Edge such as energy use, the possible environmental impact and cyber security.
Throughout the whole week techUK will be sharing guest blogs, interviews with business leaders, webinars, press articles and daily tweets reflecting on the current state of play around Edge Computing adoption so far and what the future of Edge in the UK may look like. We are now looking for members interested in getting involved and providing input to Edge Computing week! If you are interested in taking part please get in touch with Laura.Foster@techuk.org by Tuesday 21 April. All blogs must be submitted under our contributor guidelines found here.
Before Edge Week begins you can still get involved on Twitter: @techUK #TransformingEdge.
