In response to the publication of the CMA's final report on online platforms and digital advertising, techUK Deputy CEO Antony Walker said:

techUK supports regulation that promotes open markets, robust competition and consumer choice. The recommendations in the final report will need careful consideration. We look forward to working with the Digital Markets Taskforce as it develops its thinking and delivers advice to Government by the end of 2020.
techUK wants to see the UK lead the way in building a regulatory landscape that is coherent and pro-competition and innovation, the formal launch of the Digital Markets Taskforce could play an important role in achieving this as part of the wider Government Digital Strategy recently announced."
