CCS Spark: The Technology Innovation Marketplace

Spark, the Government’s new Technology Innovation Marketplace, will enable public sector customers to access new and emerging tech via a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS).

The Crown Commercial Service has recently published timelines and scope for the awaited Dynamic Purchasing System Spark. Spark will allow public sector customers to assess the newest tech and drive innovation in the public services delivery. Its flexibility and agility will meet government’s and the market’s needs and open opportunities for small and medium sized suppliers. It will also give customers flexibility and filter opportunities by interests, which should save time for smaller suppliers.

techUK welcomes Spark as an important step to open Government market to innovation and wider supplier base. Our recent Procuring for Innovation and Growth Report called on government to take advantage of the wide supplier eco-system and work will suppliers of all sizes to drive digital transformation. By creating new initiatives such as Spark Government sends a message to suppliers that they are open to innovation and are keen to create a route to market that will be easy and quick to apply for.

You can find out more, and register for upcoming webinar briefings on the DPS, here.
