    As 2018 gets into full swing, techUK's International Trade programme have a number of key events and opportunities

As 2018 gets into full swing, techUK's International Trade programme have a number of key events and opportunities designed to help its members explore and grow their export opportunities.

Notably, should you wish to exhibit at international tech shows throughout 2018, funding of up to £2500 may be available to help support you at many international events.

In March, together with the Japanese Embassy in London we are running a UK Japan IoT Connection seminar to bring together leading Japanese and UK IoT companies and explore opportunities for future collaboration.

In April, the Portuguese Embassy and Bloomberg are seeking prominent UK tech companies as well as fast-growing start-ups to attend an upcoming event which will take place at the new Bloomberg HQ in Central London. The event will be headlined by the Portuguese Prime Minister and will promote bilateral collaboration.

Additionally, if you are considering expanding to the US, we still have a few places available at our G2M event this Wednesday.

UK Japan IoT Connection Seminar 2018
With the aim of further developing Japan-UK cooperation in the IoT field, the Embassy of Japan will be hosting this event bringing together leading Japanese and UK IoT companies, along with various initiatives.

Seminar: Cyber Security and Data Opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa
Multiple export opportunities exist for UK cyber security and data protection companies to do business with public, private and third sector organisations across sub-Saharan Africa. This evening seminar, with a panel of expert speakers, will aim to increase the knowledge base of UK tech companies on how to expand and do business in sub-Saharan Africa by exploring key opportunities, and also the legal, regulatory and risk challenges facing companies.

Event with Portuguese PM exploring Trade Opportunities
The Portuguese Embassy and Bloomberg are seeking prominent UK tech companies as well as fast-growing startups to attend an upcoming event which will take place at the new Bloomberg HQ in Central London. Two panel sessions will discuss investment trends between the UK and Europe as well as opportunities for British companies in Portugal.

The event will cover commercial opportunities as well as Portugal's advantages as a business support hub for tech firms with an international presence. Headlined by The Honourable António Costa, Prime Minister of Portugal, speakers and attendees will include senior-level decision-makers from leading British and Portuguese firms. A networking lunch will follow the morning programme.

Cyber Security Trade Mission to RSA 2018
RSA San Francisco invites you to attend the world’s largest annual cyber security conference and exhibition that brings together over 700 exhibitors and 43,000 visitors.

Each year the Department for International Trade (DIT) hosts 8 first-time exhibitors at RSA to showcase their capabilities at the UK pavilion. In addition to the opportunity to exhibit at RSA at a discounted rate, DIT also offers UK pavilion companies a series of US market briefings, buyer and investor introductions, and multiple networking opportunities throughout the week.

techUK together with the Department for International Trade and Tradefair are pleased to support the Tradeshow Access Programme (TAP).
TAP allows companies exhibiting at certain international exhibitions grants of up to £2500 towards the costs of a show.
