techUK's Productivity & Automation insight series

This insight series, which took place on 24 April, showcases how techUK members and stakeholders are exploring and enabling the future of productivity & automation.
Areas of technology research, development, and application include actuators for huamnoid robot bodies, reinforcement learning and computer vision, Generative AI in industrial robotics, advanced connectivity, and the utilisation of web3 technologies to facilitate the interoperability of robotic systems.
🤖 Robotics & Automation sprint campaign
The initiative is part of techUK's Robotics & Automation sprint campaign, a six-month programme of activity which aims to identify the key Robotics & Automation technologies of the future, explore how they'll be developed, applied and commercialised, and make recommendations regarding how the UK can lead on them moving forward.
Activity will include panel discussions (such as our Future Visions: Physical AI webinar), workshops, roundtables, networking sessions (such as our sector meet-up event), blogs/vlogs, and tech demos.
The sprint campaign will culminate in a report (much like techUK's recent Gaming & Esports report), to be launched in Q4 2025, setting out the themes explored during the campaign and featuring member / stakeholder case studies and practical recommendations for industry / Government. This report will aim to advance the sector and begin to address the main challenges and opportunities that have emerged during the campaign.
