Coronavirus - techUK office closure

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, techUK is moving to full remote working and our office will be closed with no meetings, events or drop-in facility available.

This is not a step that we have taken lightly. We have done so to reduce potential exposure for staff, members and stakeholders, and also support wider social distancing measures that will be essential to slow the impact of COVID-19.

How we will continue to deliver value

techUK will continue to operate throughout this period on a remote working basis, running and participating in meetings and events online and continuing to work and engage widely.  We are committed to providing the best possible support for the tech community through the months ahead. While we will need to change the way we work, we are confident we have the cloud-based capabilities necessary in order to continue to support our members and stakeholders.

For all those who have registered to attend a techUK event, we will be in touch soon to share details of how to join remotely. For events further out in the calendar, we will continue to keep them under review to determine whether they can go ahead as planned. We appreciate your patience as we coordinate this.

How we are supporting the Government through the COVID-19 pandemic

Yesterday techUK attended a meeting hosted by the Prime Minister to better understand how technology companies can assist the UK Government and NHS through the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of this meeting techUK has created a COVID-19 Taskforce for member companies to help them better understand what they can do to support Government and NHS efforts.

If you think your company could be of assistance in helping the NHS’ efforts please email who will be leading techUK’s engagement with NHSX.

How you can work with us to support the tech response to COVID-19
If you think your company may be able to offer wider support to the UK Government through this period please email who will be coordinating our engagement with Government.

Further information

techUK is taking this action as a precautionary step to help reduce social interaction at a time when COVID-19 infection rates are expected to accelerate. We will continue to monitor the situation and will seek to return to normal working practice as soon as we believe it is appropriate.
