A change of leadership at Government Digital Service

Kevin Cunnington has recently been appointed to lead newly established International Government Service to promote digital government services across the world. Kevin has led Government Digital Service since 2016 and has contributed enormously in accelerating digital service transformation across the public sector.

It has been a pleasure working with Kevin and he has done a great job in building engagement with industry and encouraging two-way exchange with tech innovators.  We have especially enjoyed working with GDS in launching techconnect, the joint GDS – techUK programme for early professionals and Ddat fast streamers, and in contributing to the recently released Innovation Strategy. techUK wishes Kevin all the best in his new role and we look forward to working with him on this new venture.

We also now look forward to engaging with Alison Pritchard, the new interim Director General, her wider GDS team and wider public colleagues and in helping them maximise the contribution that our tech industry can make in transforming our public services.
