Nesta has launched a 'Tipping Point Prize' to find the next generation of technologies and scientific discoveries which could emerge over the coming decade. The first prize is £5000 and nine other finalists will recieve £2000. Open for entries now!
Nesta is offering prizes for the best articles on the ‘tipping point’ technologies set to come of age in the coming decade.
As an innovation charity, Nesta is seeking big ideas which can generate wide public benefit - not just profit. They are especially interested in technologies which can tackle challenges in their five proiority areas: health, education, creative economy and culture, Government innovation and innovation policy.
The century is still young, but we’ve already seen a raft of scientific and technological breakthroughs make the leap from the margins to mainstream applications. Artificial intelligence has come in from the cold to dominate public debate - sometimes to the exclusion of all else. So, what’s next?
Describe the essence of your idea in a written pitch of up to 500 words to be submitted by Friday 15th March 2019 to firstname.lastname@example.org. This should include:
- what the development is;
- how it will be socially transformative; and
- why that could happen in the ten year timeframe
