The TechProducts & Associated Services OJEU to be released shortly

The Technology Products & Associated Services OJEU is to be released to the market very shortly and the briefing outlined some exciting changes for the better.  What was evident, is that these changes are entirely based on customer and supplier feedback. One fundamental output from the discovery phase was the desire for customers to buy commodity based technology products and services as a single product solution via a single procurement process.

In summary, the three highlights of the new framework are:

  • Adding a service provision to avoid multiple procurements
  • Higher quality supply options for customers
  • A simplified buying process

In addition, it was noted that the emphasis will be on appointing an optimal mix of suppliers who provide a high-quality service, and will do so via an agreement structure that enables the customer faster and more flexible; cost-effective buying options.

Peter Kirwan - Technology Products and Services Director said:

“I am pleased we took the decision to listen to the marketplace, and we are very confident that these new enhancements will continue to improve and accelerate the way our customers buy their technology.”

The key themes that suppliers and customers sought information on during the briefing Q&A component centred around simplification - award, pricing and quality, MI and data availability, and clarification around Lot 4 (information assured hardware & software CTB Services and operational services).

Please keep a watching brief for the presentation and Q&A, these will be updated shortly and can be found here: https://ccs-agreements.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/node/7339
