The iconic city of London becomes the backdrop for a week-long festival of tech and innovation once again this June.

 

Bringing together 55,000 attendees to enjoy the hundreds of crowd-sourced and anchor events taking place across the city, London Tech Week 2018 promises to be the boldest festival yet. Visit the website here.

LeadersIn Tech Summit 

Monday 11 – Tuesday 12 June, Iconic News Building, London Bridge


The LeadersIn Tech Summit returns for 2018 as the headline event of London Tech Week. 

The summit delves into the macro issues impacting the whole ecosystem, from policy, to barriers to growth, to disruptive technologies changing the way we do business. This year’s focus is around ‘collaborate to flourish faster’, looking at how Scale-ups and tech giants come together to create a thriving tech ecosystem. Take a look at the C-level speakers from WPP, Google, Facebook, Sainsbury’s, Microsoft and SNAP inc and view the full agenda here.

Powering London: how technology and data move our city

Tuesday 12 June @ 17.30, TfL Offices, 31 Westfield Ave, London E20 1EH

Transport for London is running an invitation-only London Tech Week event at their new Stratford offices. This event will cover:

  • TfL’s tech and data model, and how they enable innovative products
  • How data can be managed in the future to drive business improvement
  • How TfL uses data responsibly
  • How TfL can harness the potential of tech start-ups and innovators to drive improvement and business objectives
  • What lies ahead and how we can all prepare
  • Networking opportunities for an international audience of decision makers, industry leaders and pioneers

The Mayor’s Chief Digital Officer Theo Blackwell will chair the event, which will follow the Mayor’s launch of the Smart London Plan the previous day. The event will be sponsored by Deloitte, and our Chief Technology Officer Shashi Verma, and MD Vernon Everitt will also speak, as well as representatives of Transport for West Midlands and Deloitte . It will take the form of a plenary session, followed by a panel discussion which will include techUK's Head of Cloud, Data Analytics and AI Sue Daley.


TechXLR8

The AIConics Awards

The AIconics Awards takes place the day before The AI Summit on Tuesday 12 June at Kensington Palace, with our CEO Julian David presenting an award. The 5th rendition of the landmark show will encompass live pitch-offs, drinks soiree, special guest MC and a post-event celebration as we crown the 2018 innovators in the AI field. The 10 category winners will then go through to a live ‘pitch-off’ at The AI Summit on 13 June for the overall crown and a cash prize!

CogX - The Festival of All Things AI

Monday 11 June - Tuesday 12 June

CogX 2018 will bring together 4,000 attendees and 300 speakers across 5 main stages, more than doubling the size of the acclaimed inaugural 2017 event. The event will feature an expanded agenda discussing not only The Impact of AI on Industry, Government and Society, but also the pressing question for executives of How To Get From Lab to Live and at the same time deploy AI responsibly and ethically.

CogX will explore how AI Intersects With Emerging Technologies including Blockchain, IoT and 5G telecoms, VR and AR, as well as the future of transportation, health and education. The winners of the CogX 2018 Annual Awards will be revealed on Monday 11 June, recognising the best products and technology across all key industries and technological domains.
