techUK President Wins Advocate of the Year Award

A number of techUK members and partners took home awards at the annual Women in IT Awards, the world’s largest tech gender diversity event.

Last night, over a thousand entrepreneurs, business, technology and public sector leaders came together to celebrate women in tech and the achievements they have made in the last year.

techUK’s President, Jacqueline de Rojas, won “Advocate of the Year” for her tireless work on diversity, alongside her work on the Government’s Digital Economy Council and her position as Digital Leaders chair.

Board member Sheila Flavell took home the biggest award of the evening, “Woman of the Year”, for her work in setting up FDM Group’s Women in Tech initiative and her involvement in techUK’s Women in Tech council.

We were pleased to see a number of our members recognised for their hard work, including Kim Nilsson of Pivigo, winning Entrepreneur of the Year, and Katia Walsh of Vodafone, winning Data Leader of the Year.

The full list of winners can be found here.

techUK warmly congratulates all the award winners, and commends the Women in IT awards for shining a light on fantastic female role models.
