Our flagship public sector conference #techUKPS2030 on 14 September was a day dedicated to exploring how the public services that citizens receive from Government will be revolutionised by the innovative technologies of the future. Defence Innovation in Mental Health, Musculoskeletal Injury, and Prolonged Care
techUK is working with the Ministry of Defence (MOD) to innovate in the areas of mental health, prolonged care, and musculoskeletal injury. J-hub (an innovation cell within the MOD) will run an event, detailed below, in order to meet digital healthcare companies and learn about what innovations could be brought into Defence. We would like to invite techUK members with interests and innovations in these areas to engage with the MOD. Events details below:

Date: 20 November
Venue: ICT Centre, Vincent Drive, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 2SQ

The event will be a speed-dating opportunity including briefs from MOD representatives responsible for innovating Defence’s approach to medical and health care, it is also likely that people from the Surgeon General’s office will be represented. MOD are keen to meet digital healthcare companies that work in the areas of:

Musculoskeletal Injury – Prediction, prevention, and rehabilitation.
Mental Health – Early prediction and treatment.
Prolonged Care - Defining the effects of interventions in prolonged care (pre-hospital and deployed hospital), with a strong focus on early and effective use of pain relief.
