Digital Identity: now more than ever

This techUK webinar, moderated by Ruth Milligan of techUK, focusses on the pressing needs for digital identity thrown up by the Covid-19 crisis and the economic recovery to come.

Expert speakers from across the industry comment on the issues they believe most pressing and give their views on the future perspective for digital identity.

  • Jonathan Jensen and Richard Spink of GBG plc talk about how Covid 19 has radically altered the way identity checks have been done. Jonathan elaborates on how the need for social distancing, to avoid unnecessary face-to-face meetings has brought home to businesses and to consumers the urgent need for digital ways of proving identity. Richard goes into greater detail on how this has impacted the financial services sector.
  • Sam Rowe of Yoti details their service which allows NHS staff to store their employment credentials securely on the Yoti app and how that speeds up and simplifies the movement of staff. He also outlines thier work on immunity certificates.
  • Eyal Ben Cohen discusses how Verifile has focussed on Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and highlights how essential this check is to getting people into jobs and voluntary positions swiftly and without the need for cumbersome paper-based processes.
