SmarterUK’s Smart Energy and Utilities Steering Board provides the strategic direction for all techUK and SmarterUK activities relating to energy and utilities and associated infrastructure deployment. In leading the Smart Energy and Utilities Group, the Steering Board is therefore responsible for representing technology companies to the utility sector, supporting innovation in both infrastructure delivery and retail market services.
Specifically, the Steering Board aims to identify future opportunities for disruptive technologies in the sector; promote a policy and regulatory environment that stimulates the growth of smart energy and utility infrastructure; promote a better understanding of how the smart infrastructure and services can be maximised for tech companies and stakeholders; and drive the conditions that make the UK a powerhouse in the export of smart energy and utility products and services.
