The Policy & Public Affairs function develops and delivers the policies to make the UK the best place to start, scale and base tech businesses.

From Brexit to broadband, the team makes the tech case to government and policymakers across the wide range of issues affecting the sector. Our arguments are developed in collaboration with members through a range of working groups, surveys, analysis and regular updates help to keep members abreast of the latest policy developments.

The Policy and Public Affairs function works predominantly through our Public Policy Group, which brings together senior public and government affairs professionals to discuss how best to influence the major policy issues facing the sector.

There are also specific working groups on issues including:

· Data Protection and International Data Flows

· Skills, Talent & Migration

· Intellectual Property

· Child Online Safety

· Taxation

· Security of the Internet & Investigatory Powers

· Communications Policy

· Brexit Hub
