Hosted by techUK, the UK-India Tech Forum is a platform to allow organisations to engage with key stakeholders in government and business in areas of UK-India tech trade, policy and market growth.
The forum offers a platform for its members to achieve ongoing and sustainable growth across the UK-India technology landscape. It has been set up as a platform to:
- Bring industry interested in the UK-India technology landscape together to discuss what issues and events impact their growth in the UK and India, provide an avenue for collective suggestions to be aired, and inform on how their interests can be best represented
- Allow businesses to engage with key stakeholders in government and business in areas of UK-India trade and market growth in both countries, and expand business networks
- Explore emerging opportunities for growth and jointly develop practical steps that industry can take to make it easier for business to trade and collaborate across UK-India tech corridor
- Provide a channel for industry to participate in the techUK-NASSCOM UK-India Tech Alliance and the wider UK-India Tech Partnership
The UK-India Tech Forum meets physically at techUK’s offices in addition to providing communications and updates via email and/or other communication channels. When specific issues and opportunities are identified, the forum also creates relevant working groups, which meet physically or via digital channels.
These groups discuss and converge on specific, tangible issues under the items of interest and then pursue the solutions as a group or through wider forum activities.
The UK-India Tech Forum currently has three working groups:
-WG on Reducing Friction
-WG on Accelerating Cooperation
-WG on Increasing Talent & Skills
The overall activities of the forum are guided by three core principles – to address the interests of both the UK companies going to India and Indian companies with interest in the UK market; to represent the agendas and voice of SMEs/scale-ups as well as large businesses; and to be driven by its members.
The forum serves to represent members and their voice to create measurable impact over time in the UKIndia tech corridor.
More information: Participation is free for techUK members. If you are not a techUK member and would still like to join the forum, please be in touch with Dominykas Broga at firstname.lastname@example.org
