Programme actions

techUK’s Defence programme works to help the UK’s Communications & Information Systems (CIS) community align itself with the Ministry of Defence (MOD), as the organisation continues to press ahead with its plans to modernise and fundamentally transform the way it conducts its business. To achieve this both the MOD and its suppliers must create an environment in which Defence is able to readily adopt the technologies and processes at the forefront of the digital revolution, so that the UK Defence sector can remain at the forefront of technology exploitation. UK industry, and in particular the CIS community, play a vital role in supporting and encouraging the MOD to better understand and procure digital technologies in a way that generates added capability and value for the end-users on the frontline.

The Defence Programme works to support its members and the wider Defence stakeholder community through a series of events, briefings, workshops, reports and consultation papers.
