Defence Commercial Business Forum

The Defence Commercial Business Forum (DCBF) provides a conduit for the Commercial professional community within the techUK membership to engage with their Commercial counterparts and other stakeholders within Her Majesty’s Government (HMG), principally with the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and in particular ISS (MOD’s Information Systems and Services organisation). It is also the intention of the DCBF to extend its reach to include senior Commercial stakeholders in the Cabinet Office.

The DCBF is comprised of companies across the techUK membership, including Prime contractors, Mid-Tier companies and SMEs. The forum seeks to include as broad a grouping of different companies working in the Defence sector as possible.

The forum aims to work with stakeholders across HMG to create a faster and more effective transaction of business between them, and to maximise the understanding of both supplier and customer on the various issues that affect the conduct of their respective buisness relationships. To achieve this, the forum constructively influences the evolving procurement strategies, practices and the various terms of trade in use across MOD and HMG.

The DCBF invites guest senior speakers from across MOD and HMG to brief members on commercial topics/issues of importance to the technology and digital industries.

Previous speakers have included:

MOD Commercial Director

MOD ISS Commercial Director
