Defence and Security SME Forum

The DSMEF is comprised of SME companies from the techUK membership. The DSMEF seeks to include a broad grouping of different SME companies working in the Defence & Security (D&S) sectors.

The Defence & Security SME Forum seeks to work with stakeholders across HMG to create a level playing field for all actors involved in defence and security by improving our SME members' understanding of how HMG policy and organisational changes will impact relevant markets. The Forum also aims to promote a consolidated view in response to various HMG strategies, activities, and queries. techUK also provides a channel between this Forum and the MOD's Defence Suppliers Forum (DSF) SME Forum, notes from the meetings of this forum can be found here.

Guest speakers from across MOD often attend the Forum's meetings presenting on topics critical to the technology industry. Recent meetings of DSMEF have featured briefings from:

  • Director Commercial, MOD
  • MOD Strategic Supplier Relations Team
  • Defence Science & Technology Laboratory
  • Defence & Security Accelerator

Chair

Graham Booth, 2iC Limited

Vice Chair

Simon Hansford, UK Cloud Limited
