techUK are proud once again to be a strategic partner of London Tech Week to create the first ever techUK talks series.
This year’s London Tech Week will be quite different to the ones in previous years, but we are excited that this will open-up London Tech Week for techUK members. Between 3-10 September techUK will be running a series of conversations with leading UK tech leaders.
This year the world has experienced unprecedented levels of global change and disruption. Ethical principles such as trust, transparency, accountability, and privacy have been put to the test on a global stage not just with the current COVID-19 pandemic but with other major events occurring around the world and closer to home.
By focusing on recent, real-life examples our leading expert panel will discuss what we can learn from 2020 so far and review the role and impact of the current digital ethics debate. Have recent events caused digital ethics to rise to the top of the boardroom agenda? Do we have a better understanding of what good looks like when it comes to translating ethics into decision-making?
As the UK looks to build back better, the panel will determine what steps are needed to build a digitally-enabled economic and societal future that is ethical, responsible and inclusive to all of society.
Speakers for this panel include:
David Frank, UK Government Affairs Manager, Microsoft
Jessica Lennard, Senior Director, Global Data and AI Initiatives, Visa
Jen Rodvold, Head of Digital Ethics & Tech for Good, Sopra Steria
Katherine Mayes, Programme Manager, Data Analytics and AI, techUK (Chair)
