On 10 June the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) launched a Call for Evidence on the development of a National Data Strategy. Further details on the call for evidence, which closes on the 14th July, and the questions being asked can be found here. The call for evidence is seeking input on the “parameters and objectives” of the strategy which is currently being developed. A full consultation on the draft strategy will be launched later in 2019.
As part of the call for evidence, techUK will be holding a roundtable discussion with the DCMS National Data Strategy team on Friday 12 July from 2-4pm at techUK offices. This will be an opportunity to feed input on the Call for Evidence directly to the National Data Strategy team.
techUK will be developing a response to the Call for Evidence. If you would like to contribute to the drafting of this response please let us know, and if you have any views on the questions being raised in the Call for Evidence document please send these to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday 8th July at the very latest.
